Gluten-Free BBQ Chicken Pizza Recipe (1)>

Pizza is the one dish my entire family can agree on. We all love it, and we all love to personalize our pizzas with our own ingredients. This recipe is made with BBQ chicken and sliced red onions, but you can use this pizza crust recipe to customize to make your own combinations. I love it with sun-dried tomatoes and basil, while my husband likes artichokes and olives, and my kids only want nitrate-free pepperoni and cheese.

While gluten-free pizzas have become more available in restaurants and grocery stores, we still prefer to make our own to avoid artificial ingredients and preservatives – plus I like to know what’s in my food.>

Top Tips For Gluten-Free Pizza Crust

  • Let the dough ferment, even though there’s no yeast in this recipe. With a gluten-free pizza crust, the starchy ingredients take some time to absorb the moisture from the wet ingredients. Therefore, allowing the mixture to ferment before baking, either at room temperature or in the refrigerator, is vital. Most recipes will have a suggested “rest” time for the dough. Be sure to follow the instructions for the best results.
  • Gluten-free pizza dough recipes often yield a crust that is on the thinner side. If you prefer your pizza crust to reach greater heights, you can use 1 teaspoon of xanthan gum for a little extra rise.
